Aileen M. E. Powers, P.A-C.

Physician Assistant

Aileen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her masters in medicine from George Washington University. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Northern Virginia Physician Assistant Society. At our practice, Aileen oversees our cosmetic suite, Derm-Esthetics, as well as provides general dermatologic care.

Alison Martin, RN

Our newest member to Derm-Esthetics, Alison Martin, has taken over our Laser Hair Removal department as of September 2006. Alison is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience in patient care. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Rosemont College and also attended the Nursing Program at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She is certified in Laser Hair Removal and has the most up-to-date training relating to laser hair removal on the Cynosure Apogee Elite.  

Laura Van Sant, NRCMA

Laura joined our practice in 1995. She was certified in 1986 as a National Registered Certified Medical Assistant. Laura is our expert in IPL (Photorejuvenation) treatments used to repair sun spots, rosacea, broken capillaries and facial veins. She also heads up our Microdermabrasion and Chemical peel treatments. Our patients benefit greatly by having an experienced provider like Laura providing all three of these treatments, as they are often complimentary.
